Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Part-Time Barista Trainer to join our team and lead training sessions for aspiring baristas within our school café program. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in specialty coffee, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for teaching both foundational and advanced barista skills in a structured, engaging manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver hands-on barista training sessions for students.
- Teach core topics including:
- Coffee origins
- Espresso preparation
- Milk frothing and latte art
- Café hygiene and safety
- Customer service excellence
- Provide constructive feedback and evaluate student performance throughout training.
- Ensure all trainees understand and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Maintain training equipment and ensure it remains clean and fully functional.
- Stay current with coffee trends and integrate new practices into the curriculum.
- Offer mentorship and career guidance to students interested in pursuing roles as baristas.
- Assist in setting up mock café environments for hands-on practice and assessments.
Requirements:
- Must be of Asian descent (aligned with program and cultural integration goals).
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a professional barista.
- Prior experience in training or mentoring others in coffee preparation.
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee techniques and café operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with beginners.
- Available for part-time hours with a flexible schedule based on school needs.
- Proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Barista certification or relevant coffee industry training.
- Experience working in an educational or hospitality training setting.
- Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
