Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator with a strong background in joinery and woodworking to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a variety of CNC machines and capable of programming and producing high-quality components based on 2D and 3D designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines including Accumech, Flexicam, and SCM Morbidelli 5-axis.
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD/CAM drawings for CNC machining.
- Use software such as AutoCAD, ArtCAM, Aspire, Alphacam, and SCM Maestro to design and prepare files for production.
- Interpret technical drawings, plans, and joinery specifications to create precise CNC programs.
- Perform quality checks on completed products to ensure accuracy and finish.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure consistent performance.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC machines in a joinery or woodworking environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and CNC-related applications such as ArtCAM, Aspire, Alphacam, and SCM Maestro.
- Ability to create and interpret 3D drawings for CNC machining.
- Experience with 5-axis CNC machines, particularly SCM Morbidelli.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in CNC machining, woodworking, or related field.
- Prior experience in a custom joinery or architectural millwork setting.
