Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Supervise and direct project staff, including engineers, construction workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, discuss issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Oversee project budgets, including estimating costs, reviewing invoices, and ensuring cost control throughout the construction process.
- Identify and resolve any budget discrepancies or cost overruns.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all work is completed according to engineering specifications, local codes, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Review and approve all plans, designs, and change orders before implementation.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained before construction begins.
- Monitor site safety and address any safety issues to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Client and Stakeholder Relations:
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide regular updates to clients on project status, milestones, and any challenges or delays.
- Resolve any disputes or issues that arise between stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the project, such as delays, budget constraints, or regulatory issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the management of construction-related risks, including delays, resource shortages, and unexpected site conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 15-18 years of experience in civil construction management or a similar role in the UAE.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED20,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Construction Manager in the UAE: 7 years (Preferred)
