Finclutech is looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and security, with the ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities:-
- Install, configure, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases, with a strong focus on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Couchbase Server.
- Install, Manage and monitor In-memory systems like Redis or Memcached .
- Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Establish and enforce database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards.
- Conduct routine checks and audits to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal availability and reliability.
- Design and manage monitoring dashboards (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent) to track database health, performance, and resource usage.
- Implement and support case management processes for handling database-related incidents, including troubleshooting, escalation, and root cause analysis.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for database-related incidents and performance issues.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of database architecture, procedures, and configurations.
- Work collaboratively with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database design meets application and business requirements.
Qualifications:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with deep expertise in: Scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript), Performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization, Building and managing monitoring dashboards
- Previous experience with MySQL-NDB is a plus.
- Experience with case/incident management tools and workflows (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage.
- Experience with RADIUS cache implementation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
