The Role
We are seeking an Editor with exceptional analytical and creative skills who can work confidently in English. It requires transforming complex source material into clear, engaging editorial content, accompanied by compelling visual elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess complex source material and research.
- Write, edit, and adapt source material into engaging content.
- Develop creative ideas for accompanying visual elements (maps, infographics, illustrations, etc.).
- Create design briefs to guide designers in producing those visual elements.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, and the editorial team to ensure cohesion between text and visuals.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and editorial quality across all content.
About You:
- Native-level fluency in English (strong writing and editing skills essential).
- Proven editorial experience in publishing, media, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret and simplify complex material for a general audience.
- Strong creative vision with an eye for storytelling through both text and visuals.
- Experience working with designers or briefing design teams.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines effectively.
