Synopsis
The Technician reports to the Team leader /Senior Supervisor and is responsible to perform regular maintenance in accordance with the OEM and international industry standards. This includes the examination, evaluation and maintenance of test equipment/s in line with GCAA, EASA and the FAA standards to maintain the safety levels.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of electronic, mechanical, and electrical measuring instruments and equipment.
- To ensure that all equipment/s are maintained, certified and function as per their specific requirements and in accordance with the OEM or Standard Procedure recognized by International Authorities, in line with GCAA, EASA and FAA regulatory standards.
- Ensures departmental compliance at all times IAW Etihad Technical Procedures
- Understand maintenance/repair standards and specifications to carry out a successfull test with minimal supervision and be able to interpret and evaluate results according to the applicable standards, codes and/or specifications
- Organize and report all maintenance/repairs.
- Review documentation to ensure that all previous operations have been completed prior to maintenance/repairs as required.
- Provides training and encouragement to new employees to support their involvement in the on-going.
Education & Experience
- Skills in electronics/mechanical/electrical maintenance with supporting academic documentation of an engineering diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years industry experience is required including previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working in an aircraft maintenance department
