This role helps manage and coordinate maintenance activities across departments. It involves handling communication, assigning tasks, managing supplies, and ensuring maintenance updates are accurate and timely. It also includes working closely with suppliers and vessel crew to support ongoing maintenance operations.
Job Role:
1. Listen to any concerns from the team and help find solutions
2. Assign tasks to inboard technicians and purchasing officers
3. Keep reports and admin updates in the system accurate and up to date
4. Support other departments with their maintenance needs
5. Email suppliers to request documents, parts, and tools; submit approved quotations for LPO (Local Purchase Order) requests
6. Answer all maintenance-related phone calls and inquiries
7. Keep track of stock and inventory levels
8. Meet with Captains to review and audit maintenance reports
