Job Summary:
The Structural Metal Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components to create structural products . This role requires interpreting designs, using various tools and machinery, and ensuring all fabricated products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings, and technical specifications.
- Measure, cut, and shape steel and other metals using hand tools, flame-cutting torches, shears, and CNC machines.
- Operate heavy fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plate rolls, and saws.
- Weld components using MIG, TIG, stick, or flux-core methods as required.
- Assemble and fit metal parts to form complete structures or subassemblies.
- Inspect finished products to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow all safety procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
