Job Summary:
The Fleet In charge is responsible for the overall management and coordination of company vehicles across the UAE. This includes ensuring compliance with UAE RTA regulations, scheduling maintenance, supervising drivers, and managing documentation, costs, and operations to ensure efficient and safe fleet usage.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fleet Operations & Coordination
· Monitor daily vehicle allocation across sites/projects.
· Track vehicle movements using GPS and fleet tracking systems.
· Ensure timely dispatch and turnaround of vehicles.
· Coordinate with departments for vehicle requirements and support.
2. Maintenance & Servicing
· Schedule periodic servicing as per manufacturer and UAE guidelines.
· Coordinate with authorized garages and service providers for repairs.
· Maintain service logs and monitor downtime of vehicles.
3. Compliance & Documentation
· Ensure all vehicles have valid Mulkiya (registration), Salik accounts, insurance, and RTA permits.
· Keep up-to-date records of traffic fines, accidents, and vehicle histories.
· Renew registration and insurance before expiry in coordination with PRO.
4. Driver Management
· Monitor driver attendance, behavior, and performance.
· Assign duty rosters and ensure compliance with driving hours.
· Conduct briefings on safety and UAE traffic rules.
· Handle incident reports, fines, and accident procedures.
5. Fuel & Cost Management
· Oversee fuel consumption and monitor usage through fuel cards or logs.
· Prepare monthly reports on fuel efficiency and operational cost.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities related to vehicle usage and maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet management in the UAE.
· Familiar with UAE traffic laws, RTA procedures, and documentation requirements.
· Proficient in MS Excel and fleet tracking software (e.g., GPS, Telematics).
· Valid UAE Driving License (light vehicle or heavy, as required).
· Strong knowledge of vehicle types including light vehicles, pickups, buses, and heavy trucks (if applicable).
Preferred Skills:
· Strong communication and coordination skills.
· Fluency in English (Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus).
· Strong leadership to manage a team of drivers and assistants.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies effectively.
