Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Imports Associate to join our dynamic Imports & Logistics team. As an Imports Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient importation of goods into the company, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and coordinating with vendors, customs brokers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the coordination of the importation of goods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
· Communicate with suppliers, shipping carriers, and customs brokers to ensure proper documentation and smooth import processes.
· Monitor the status of incoming shipments and resolve any issues that may arise, such as delays or discrepancies.
· Prepare and review import documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
· Maintain accurate records of all imported goods and assist with inventory tracking.
· Stay informed on import regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures to ensure compliance.
· Assist with reporting and data entry related to import transactions.
· Support the team in managing any discrepancies or claims with vendors or logistics partners.
· Collaborate with the internal teams such as inventory, warehouse, and finance to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
· Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems is preferred
· Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
· A team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to grow within the company.
· Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or customer service is a plus but not required.
