Main Duties
- Help the school achieve its vision to be a diverse, inclusive and child-centered community that empowers students to be creative and motivated learners, who will develop into compassionate citizens and leaders.
- Comply with regulations pertaining to health and safety at work legislation and adhere to academy policies relating to safe working practice and equal opportunities regulations
- Comply with Aldar Education’s Performance Management Policy, ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the Principal.
- Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of academy improvement or performance management
- Comply with Aldar Education’s staff dress code at all times including the wearing of photo ID / lanyard
- Comply with Aldar Education’s computer Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at all times
- Attend all staff briefings
- Sign out and sign in at relevant academy reception if off site at any point during the normal working day
- Attend Open Evenings, Parents’ Evenings & Parent Consultation Days
- Participate in the day to day management of school life
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification .
Minimum Experience
Minimum of 6 years teaching English National Curriculum
Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language

- Plan and deliver interventions, across the whole School
- Coordinate in class support for targeted children
- Writing and reviewing of action plans for targeted students
- Implementation of targets
- Liaising with teachers and advising
- Management of HLTAs, CAs, EEL teachers
- Responsible for the development of timetables
- Regular analysis of data, that will then inform planning and provision
- Classroom observation of students and appropriate strategies then disseminated to class/subject teachers
- Provide Wave 3 support to identified cohorts.
- Delivering of training to staff
- Arrange meetings with parents to support specifically targeted students
- Attending line managements with the Vice Principal, Curriculum, where key information about students is shared and discussed
- Coordination of access arrangements for MAPs assessments.
- Continue personal development in relevant areas especially subject knowledge & teaching methods
