Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Recruiter to manage the full-cycle recruitment process for technical roles within the instrumentation and control domain. This includes sourcing, screening, and hiring professionals such as I&C engineers, control system technicians, automation specialists, and related roles for industries such as oil & gas, power generation, manufacturing, and process automation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of I&C technologies and terminology, combined with proven recruiting experience in technical or engineering domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers and technical leads to define role requirements for I&C positions
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, and industry-specific platforms
- Conduct detailed screening interviews to assess candidates’ technical skills, certifications, and industry experience in instrumentation and control systems
- Manage candidate pipelines for roles such as:
- Instrumentation Engineers
- Control Systems Engineers
- PLC/DCS Programmers
- SCADA Specialists
- Field Service Engineers (I&C)
- Automation Engineers
- Schedule and coordinate technical interviews, assessments, and follow-ups
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Build and maintain a network of qualified professionals in the I&C field for current and future needs
- Stay updated on industry trends, certifications (e.g. ISA, IEC standards), and evolving skill sets in instrumentation and control
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies and relevant labor laws
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, automation, or industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of I&C systems, job functions, and relevant certifications (e.g. ISA, IEC, PLC/DCS experience)
- Experience using ATS platforms and professional sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background or technical education in instrumentation, automation, or engineering
- Experience recruiting for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or OEM environments
Key Focus Areas
- Recruiting mid to senior-level technical professionals in instrumentation & control.
- Building a sustainable pipeline for critical roles in oil & gas projects and automation solutions.
- Acting as a subject-matter specialist in I&C recruitment, advising managers on market availability and competitive salaries.
