Junior Accountant
Location: Al Muraqabat, Dubai, UAE
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and financial transactions of the pharmacy branches.
- Close daily cash sales and perform reconciliation with system records.
- Prepare, issue, and track cheques for suppliers and operational expenses.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP):
- Track customer dues and follow up on collections.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Assist in monthly and annual financial statements preparation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper records of transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile stock entries with the inventory team.
- Assist in VAT return preparation and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
- Support payroll processing, employee advances, and expense claims.
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, and vouchers.
- Assist in audit preparations and provide required financial data.
- Manage petty cash & operational expenses.
- Any Ad-hoc tasks arising and requested by Pharmacy Execs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (experience in the retail/pharmacy sector preferred) within the UAE.
- Knowledge of AR/AP processes, cheque handling, and daily cash reconciliation.
- Familiarity with UAE VAT and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to accounting software (Tally/QuickBooks/Odoo) preferred.
- Strong organizational, numerical, and multitasking skills.
- Good communication in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).
- High integrity, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
