The Role
We are pleased to be supporting our longstanding client in the marine services sector to appoint an experienced and capable HR Officer to join their Dubai head office. This is a broad and rewarding role that will offer the opportunity to work closely with the HR Manager across all areas of the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on process improvement, compliance, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting end-to-end recruitment, from job description creation to CV screening and first-stage interviews, as well as preparing offer letters and contracts. You will take a lead in onboarding new employees, delivering induction presentations, planning integration, and proposing improvements to enhance the overall employee experience. This role requires a high level of organisation and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining confidential employee records, updating HR documentation in line with local labour law, and preparing reports for audits and internal reviews. A key aspect of the role will include managing visa applications, renewals, and cancellations via the DMCC portal, so experience in this area is strongly preferred. You’ll also be responsible for overseeing health insurance administration, compiling comparisons, and supporting renewals. As a point of contact for employee queries, you will provide guidance on HR policies, performance management, and workplace matters, while also promoting a positive and engaged workplace culture.
Requirements
This is an ideal role for a proactive and adaptable HR professional who enjoys working in a close-knit and fast-paced environment. You should be fluent in English, confident working independently, and possess a solid knowledge of UAE labour laws and HR best practices. A minimum of three years’ UAE-based HR experience is essential, and CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualifications will be highly regarded. If you are looking for a role that offers breadth, autonomy, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to HR strategy and operations, we look forward to receiving your application.
