Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure works projects, you will be responsible for conducting precise land and topographic surveys, providing critical data for the design and construction phases of various projects, including roads and bridges.
- Perform comprehensive land surveys to determine accurate locations, elevations, boundaries, and dimensions for infrastructure works
- Utilize advanced survey instruments such as total stations, GPS, and levels to measure and record land features, contours, and infrastructure elements
- Analyze survey data and produce detailed reports, drawings, and maps that accurately represent site topography, boundaries, and features
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure survey data is effectively incorporated into design plans and construction schedules
- Conduct boundary surveys to establish accurate property lines and legal boundaries for project sites
- Perform topographic and construction surveys to ensure proper alignment of infrastructure elements according to design specifications
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all survey data and calculations
- Conduct as-built surveys to document final locations and elevations of constructed infrastructure
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations while conducting on-site survey activities
- Manage and organize survey data, including field notes, calculations, and digital files using specialized software
- Provide regular updates and reports to project managers and stakeholders on survey progress and findings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of overall experience in land surveying, with Middle East experience preferred
- Proven experience in comparable roads and bridges projects
- Proficiency in using advanced survey instruments, including total stations, GPS, and levels
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS tools for processing and analyzing survey data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- In-depth understanding of local land use regulations and property laws in the UAE
- Strong mathematical and geometric skills
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities, with the capacity to clearly convey technical information to various stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Physical ability to work in various outdoor conditions and terrains
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
- Experience in Al Ain or the United Arab Emirates is advantageous
