We are seeking a dependable and skilled Washer Operator to join our laundry team. The Washer Operator is responsible for operating industrial washing machines, ensuring linens and uniforms are cleaned according to hotel standards, and maintaining equipment safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial washing machines efficiently and safely
- Load and unload laundry according to hotel procedures
- Measure and add appropriate detergents, chemicals, and softeners
- Monitor washing cycles and adjust settings for different fabric types
- Inspect linens before and after washing for stains or damage
- Report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Follow safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Coordinate with other laundry staff to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating commercial laundry equipment preferred
- Understanding of various fabric care instructions
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull laundry loads
- Attention to detail and good time management skills
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic knowledge of chemical handling and safety is a plus
