Job Title: Real Estate Leasing Officer
Job Summary
The Leasing Officer is responsible for managing the leasing process of residential and commercial properties, from advertising vacancies and screening tenants to preparing lease agreements and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role ensures maximum occupancy, tenant retention, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all leasing inquiries, property viewings, and negotiations with prospective tenants.
- Advertise available properties through various platforms to attract potential tenants.
- Screen tenants, review applications, and verify references and credit history.
- Prepare, review, and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Ensure properties are well-presented, clean, and ready for occupancy.
- Coordinate with property management and maintenance teams for repairs, inspections, and handovers.
- Maintain accurate records of tenancy contracts, renewals, and terminations.
- Monitor rental collections and follow up on overdue payments in coordination with the accounts team.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants to support retention and resolve concerns promptly.
- Provide regular reports on occupancy, leasing performance, and market trends to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in leasing, real estate, or property management.
- Strong knowledge of local property laws, leasing regulations, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and real estate CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and meet leasing targets.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
