Objective:
This position is responsible for leading end-to-end distribution center operations— including inbound, storage, outbound, and value-added services—while ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, inventory accuracy, and compliance with safety and service standards to support the company’s multi-brand retail network.
Key Responsibility:
Operations Management
- Oversee the entire distribution center operations, including inbound receipt, storage, order processing, and outbound dispatch.
- Ensure operational KPIs (accuracy, efficiency, turnaround time) are achieved consistently across all functions.
- Review and refine processes to eliminate bottlenecks and improve overall DC productivity.
Team Leadership & Resource Allocation
- Lead and supervise team leaders, supervisors, and warehouse staff across multiple shifts.
- Develop shift rosters and allocate manpower in line with seasonal demand and service level requirements.
- Foster a high-performance culture through regular training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Inventory & Compliance Management
- Ensure inventory accuracy through periodic stock checks, audits, and reconciliation.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, quality, and operational standards as per regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Enforce adherence to SOPs and drive discipline in warehouse practices.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including supply chain, logistics, merchandising, and brand teams to align distribution goals with business needs.
- Support cross-functional initiatives for system integration, automation, and workflow enhancements.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor daily operations and generate reports on key metrics such as turnaround time, fill rate, and resource utilization.
- Lead root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Propose and lead DC-related improvement projects, ensuring alignment with business expansion plans.
Desired Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or distribution, including supervisory or managerial roles.
- Proficiency in inventory management, logistics planning, and team leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., APICS) may be advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations, transportation management, and industry regulations.
