We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Lathe / CNC Metal Operator to join our precision machining team. The ideal candidate should be capable of operating both manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual lathes and CNC machines to perform turning, drilling, and milling operations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Set up machines, tools, and materials for each job.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating both manual and CNC lathe machines.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and metalworking processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of programming and tool path adjustments (a plus).
- Good math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
