We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Master (Captain) to command one of our offshore or nearshore vessels operating in Abu Dhabi. The Master will be responsible for the overall operation of the vessel, including navigation, crew management, safety compliance, and ensuring smooth coordination with port authorities and clients.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership, maritime knowledge, and a commitment to safe and efficient operations in line with ADNOC and international maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full command and responsibility for the safety, operations, and navigation of the vessel.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC regulations, Flag State laws, Class rules, and company procedures.
- Lead and manage the ship's crew, maintaining discipline, training, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee vessel maintenance, safety drills, audits, and emergency preparedness.
- Liaise with port authorities, offshore installation managers (OIMs), and shore-based operations teams.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of logs, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and SOLAS standards.
- Monitor cargo, ballast, and stability conditions in accordance with vessel specifications.
- Manage inspections and certifications to ensure the vessel is always compliant.
Requirements:
- Valid STCW Master (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (CoC) – II/2.
- Valid STCW training certificates (Advanced Firefighting, GMDSS, Medical First Aid, etc.).
- Minimum 24 months of experience as Master on similar vessels (offshore, AHTS, PSV, cargo, or tanker as applicable).
- Good knowledge of vessel handling, port operations, and shipboard management systems.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Familiarity with ADNOC regulations or previous experience operating in Abu Dhabi waters is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ADNOC-approved Master (or eligible for ADNOC approval).
- Experience in offshore support, oil & gas vessels, or marine terminal operations.
- Knowledge of UAE maritime and port procedures.
