We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our esteemed healthcare team in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding of medical records for insurance claims, billing, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments based on medical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations and coding standards.
- Review and verify medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify diagnoses and procedures for coding.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information at all times.
- Assist with audits and provide support during claim reviews or denials.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in outpatient/inpatient coding is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
- Ability to work full-time (minimum 48 hours per week).
