We are seeking a skilled MEP Draftsman with a mechanical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, particularly mechanical (HVAC, drainage, water supply, etc.), and must have worked in the UAE for at least two years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed mechanical shop drawings (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.) based on design specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and electrical plans.
- Revise drawings based on engineer comments and site modifications.
- Ensure compliance with UAE standards and local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, DM, DCD).
- Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.
- Support the site team with any drawing-related queries.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of UAE experience as an MEP Draftsman (Mechanical).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with BIM and 3D drafting tools.
- Knowledge of authority approvals and submittal processes in the UAE.
