The Role
Key Responsibilities: Childcare & Curriculum Delivery Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or local curriculum requirements. Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress and development. Encourage children’s learning through play and structured activities. Support children in developing their independence and social skills. Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the classroom and play areas. Follow safeguarding, health, and safety policies and procedures. Behaviour Management Promote positive behaviour, manage conflicts calmly, and model respectful behaviour. Support children in understanding rules and routines. Communication & Partnerships Build positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s day and development. Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues when required. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. General Duties Prepare resources and materials for daily activities. Maintain records and reports accurately and timely. Assist with feeding, toileting, and personal care as needed.

Requirements
Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a nursery or early years setting. Sound knowledge of child development and early learning frameworks. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, and passion for working with young children. First Aid and Child Protection certifications (preferred).
