Job Overview
As a Operations Officer at Emirates NBD, your role is responsible for processing payments, reconciliation, trade processing/settlements, data extraction and validation. The role holder typically is required to process transactions and/or information accurately within stipulated service standards and turnaround time. The job holder will be required to solve routine problems related to regular transactions / tasks and interface with internal and external parties for this purpose. This role will assist in the day to day processing of operational activities falling under the fund management, trade reporting, security set up, and data management. This role, as and when required, will also assist in monitoring the fund trades settlements by liaising with the brokers and the fund custodian.
Key Responsibilities
- Verifying all the trade details before entering in the system and after its filled by the trading team.
- Ensure all trade are entered in Allfunds system for the CIO funds before the cut off time and sent for approval
- Proactive and timely processing of all trades to ensure timely settlement.
- Ensure all trade details are input and matched in clear stream / Allfunds platform for clients trades, for timely settlement in the market
- Ensure the transactions are recorded correctly in the system
- Recording cash movement and position movements at the custodian level in the system
- Ensure all client portfolios are opened in Advent system on a timely basis
- Bank account opening in ENBD. Broker accounts for Fixed Income and Equities
- Monitor trade status report for avoiding any late or delayed trade settlements
- Timely update of cash in Advent system to ensure the holdings are matching with the custodian records
- Liaise with Emirates NBD AM staff and various other departments and counterparties like OPC , branches, brokers,3rd party custodians etc for smooth and efficient processing.
- Escalate any unresolved issues to the Manager, operations for timely decision and resolution.
- Prepare audit and balance confirmations to the auditors
- Prepare the data for segregated client reporting on a monthly basis.
- Preparing the file for ESCA reporting on a quarterly basis.
- Preparing the data for quarterly DFSA reporting
- Cover for the certain client related operational areas like settlement and reconciliation including exception reporting
- Clients FI bond trades - Clearstream matching.
- Ensure all trades are checked and processed for settlement for orders placed through Allfunds
- Assist in the processing of all transactions in line with AML / Compliance requirements in order to deliver error free results
- Support in completion of UAT relating to operational activities during system upgrade including new enhancements.
- Ensure all the securities created in the system are approved by the compliance
Skills and Experience
- Graduate in Commerce or Business Administration
- Preferable ACSI
- Min 5-6 years banking experience both local and international
- Specialized in investment operations across product lines
