Job Overview:
Aqua Bridge Holding is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Planning and Contract Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, and contract management activities across our project portfolio. This pivotal role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in contract management, and exceptional planning and scheduling skills to support the successful delivery of complex and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, specifically tailored for marine and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, site teams, and subcontractors to establish key milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities.
- Continuously monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement
effective mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Generate look-ahead schedules, manpower histograms, and resource forecasts to support proactive and efficient execution planning.
2. Contract Administration
- Review, draft, and negotiate main contracts and subcontracts in alignment with FIDIC and other international contract standards.
- Manage and monitor contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance and timely execution of deliverables.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of variations, correspondence, claims, and extension of time (EOT) requests to support dispute resolution and project transparency.
3. Cost and Budget Control
- Assist in the preparation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of project budgets and cash flow forecasts to ensure financial control.
- Track actual expenditures against planned budgets, analyze variances, and provide justifications with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance departments to ensure optimal resource allocation,cost efficiency, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
4. Risk & Claims Management
- Identify contractual, operational, and project-related risks, and develop effective risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Lead the preparation, documentation, and substantiation of claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) requests in coordination with Quantity Surveyors (QS) and legal advisors.
- Represent the company in contractual meetings, negotiations, and dispute resolution
proceedings to safeguard commercial and legal interests.
5. Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present periodic project status reports, including schedule updates, risk
assessments, and delay analyses, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain well-structured and auditable records of all planning, contractual, and project control documentation.
- Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to promote alignment, transparency, and informed decision-making.
6. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 + years of proven experience in project planning and contract management, specifically within the construction and marine infrastructure sectors.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and project cost control software/tools.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of FIDIC and other international standard contracts.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing claims, variations, extensions of time (EOTs), contract negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Prior experience in marine infrastructure projects such as jetties, bridges, ports, and pontoons is highly desirable.
