Job Summary:
Procurement Executive will be responsible to manage and execute the procurement of eggs from international suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, import regulations, and cost-efficiency. The role also includes sourcing and managing other co-packing items. The incumbent must act as a liaison between management and stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and efficiency at all times.
Job Description:
Procurement of Imported Eggs.
Identify and evaluate international suppliers of eggs based on price, quality, certifications, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, prices, incoterms, and payment terms with suppliers.
Ensure all imports comply with relevant food safety, veterinary, and customs regulations.
Monitor international market trends and supply chain risks (e.g., seasonality, currency fluctuation, geopolitical factors).
Coordinate with logistics and clearance agents to ensure timely delivery and cold chain integrity.
Work closely with production and co-packing partners to forecast needs and manage inventory levels.
Maintain vendor relationships and identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.
Ensure all materials meet company branding and regulatory requirements.
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare and maintain procurement records, purchase orders, contracts, and import documentation.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations (health certificates, origin documents, etc.).
Track shipments and handle discrepancies with suppliers or customs if needed.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
Provide regular updates on procurement status, risks, and opportunities.
Functional / Technical Competencies
Strong organizational skills and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as SAP.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Familiarity with procurement procedures and data management is highly valued.
Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and handle confidential information with discretion.
