STARZPLAY is looking for a Product Lead who operates at the intersection of user psychology, platform monetization, and technical depth. You’ll own the full user journey — from the moment someone lands on our platform to their first subscription, every renewal, and even the moment they choose to cancel (and, ideally, come back).
This isn’t a role where you’re buried in feature specs or stuck in alignment loops. You’ll build and lead the systems that drive our growth, working side-by-side with Marketing, Engineering, Data, CRM, and Finance. You’ll lead a small, high-performing team and take full ownership of strategic flows, from how we monetize sports events to how we structure retention save logic.
You won’t be expected to execute every campaign or backend config yourself. But you do need to understand exactly how they work, how they break, and when to step in.
What You’ll Own
The Complete User Journey
Define and lead the end-to-end lifecycle across onboarding, engagement, cancellations, and reactivation- Collaborate with CRM and Data to surface early churn indicators and deploy product-level interventions
- Own the deactivation flow, including save logic, eligibility rules, backend transitions, and user experience across platforms
- Monitor how users move through key funnel stages and ensure the experience supports both acquisition goals and long-term retention
Subscription Strategy & SVOD
Manage all subscription plans across Apple, Google Play, and direct billing channels, including plan transitions, eligibility, renewals, and cancellations- Lead pricing and promotional planning, from regional localization to high-stakes content moments like major sporting events
- Coordinate execution across backend, frontend, CRM, and platform operations to ensure compliance and consistency
- Think strategically about how value is packaged and communicated across different user types and market segments
Platforms Mastery
Act as the go-to product owner for App Store Connect and Google Play Console, working closely with Product Marketing to keep everything aligned- Coordinate with marketing teams for ASO, custom product pages, in-app events, offer visibility, and release timelines
- Ensure backend logic and storefront configurations remain synced, especially during complex campaigns or multi-market rollouts
Data Discovery & Insights
Lead CleverTap implementation and logic for lifecycle segmentation, behavioral targeting, and retention campaigns- Partner with Analytics and Engineering to maintain clean, useful event structures across Firebase, GA4, Hotjar, and Appsflyer
- Own the performance narrative: you’ll connect dots between data and business outcomes and take action when needed without waiting for consensus
AdTech & AVOD
Oversee product logic for AVOD and hybrid monetization models across web, mobile, and CTV- Collaborate with AdOps and Engineering to coordinate delivery through Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel, and Amazon MediaTailor
- Define access models and upsell flows that ensure monetization doesn't compromise viewing experience
- Support platform health by resolving ad-related UX issues quickly and proactively
What You Bring
- Deep understanding of IAP systems, subscription lifecycle logic, and backend coordination
- Direct experience configuring offers and managing plans inside App Store Connect and Google Play Console
- Experience building pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies across platforms and geographies
- Hands-on experience with CleverTap, GA4, Firebase, Hotjar, and Appsflyer
- Strong knowledge of CSAI and SSAI ad monetization, with experience across GAM, FreeWheel, and MediaTailor
- Proven track record managing cross-functional projects across engineering, marketing, CRM, data, legal, and finance
- Arabic fluency is a plus not mandatory.
