About the Role:
We are looking for a strategic and data-driven Product Operations Manager to lead a team focused on the heart of our business: the Captain & Marketplace platform. This is a pivotal role that ensures the operational health, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the systems that connect our customers with our captains, including supply/demand matching, pricing, and ETA accuracy.
You will be a player-coach, managing a team of product operations specialists while acting as the key operational partner to Product and Engineering leaders. Your mission is to ensure our marketplace runs smoothly, scales efficiently, and adapts swiftly to the needs of our Captains, Partners, and Customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team: Manage, mentor, and grow the product operations team, fostering a culture of ownership, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence.
- Own Marketplace Health & Quality: Become the ultimate expert on the operational performance of our captain and marketplace products. Define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for matching efficiency, pricing integrity, ETA precision, and captain experience.
- Drive Operational Strategy & Governance: Design, implement, and operate robust planning and governance processes for the Captain & Marketplace product organization. Ensure product updates and experiments are executed flawlessly and communicated effectively.
- Leverage Data to Drive Insights: Utilize your analytical skills to dive deep into marketplace data, identify opportunities for improvement, and build compelling, data-backed stories to influence the product roadmap and prioritize quality initiatives.
- Champion Process Improvement: Proactively identify and eliminate friction in our operational and product development lifecycles. Lead initiatives to enhance our experimentation frameworks, incident resolution protocols, and internal tooling.
- Foster Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary operational liaison between Product, Engineering, Data Science, and on-the-ground Operations teams. Drive alignment and mobilize cross-functional initiatives to achieve shared goals.
- Manage Stakeholder Communication: Deliver clear, concise progress updates on operational health and key initiatives to stakeholders and leadership. Synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in product operations, program management, or a similar operational role, preferably within a fast-paced tech or marketplace company. Experience in ride-hailing, logistics, or a related field is a strong plus.
- Leadership: 2+ years of direct people management experience with a proven track record of building and developing successful teams.
- Analytical Prowess: Highly analytical, fact-driven, and process-oriented mindset. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL is essential. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and Agile/product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) is required.
- Influence & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization without direct authority.
- Adaptability: A proactive and resilient leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, capable of managing multiple priorities and pivoting swiftly to meet business needs.
- Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
