Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, coordinate, and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
2. Develop detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
3. Supervise and direct construction teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
4. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
5. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
6. Manage project budgets, control costs, and approve expenditures.
7. Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
8. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction activities meet specifications.
9. Resolve project issues, delays, or risks proactively and effectively.
10. Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
11. Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and records.
12. Ensure compliance with environmental, zoning, and permitting regulations.
13. Lead the planning and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., highways, bridges, utilities, drainage systems).
14. Oversee full project lifecycle from bidding and contract negotiation to handover and close-out.
15. Direct multidisciplinary teams including engineers, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
16. Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
17. Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, government agencies, and consultants.
18. Prepare and review technical documentation, construction methodologies, and progress reports.
19. Mitigate project risks and resolve complex technical and operational issues on-site.
20. Drive project delivery to meet or exceed contractual KPIs (time, cost, quality).
21. Lead contract administration, change order management, and claim resolution.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
2. 15+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure project management (roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, etc.).
3. Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
4. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, and government regulations.
5. Strong experience in contract management (FIDIC, NEC, or similar), claims, and dispute resolution.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills across multi-disciplinary project teams.
7. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
8. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
9. Knowledge of local permitting, environmental, and safety standards.
10. PMP certification or similar project management credential is preferred
