We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our procurement team.
The role involves assisting with the sourcing and procurement of marine equipment, ship spare parts, provisions, and other operational needs for vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying suppliers for marine products and ship spare parts.
- Support in preparing purchase orders and sending inquiries to vendors.
- Coordinate with the technical team to understand vessel requirements.
- Follow up with vendors for quotations, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain procurement records and assist with inventory tracking.
- Communicate with ship agents and logistics providers for smooth delivery of items to vessels.
- Assist in ensuring timely procurement as per vessel schedule and operational needs.
- Support compliance with company procurement policies and ISO procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
