Job Summary:
Flare Burger LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to oversee and maintain the company’s food safety, quality assurance, and health & safety protocols across all its fast food outlets and production units. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO standards (9001, 22000, etc.), local food safety regulations, and internal quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance & Food Safety:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance policies and systems in line with HACCP and ISO 22000 standards.
- Conduct regular food safety audits in Kisok and central kitchens.
- Monitor food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Investigate and document food quality complaints and non-conformities.
- Monitor supplier quality compliance and conduct supplier audits as needed.
- Ensure proper food labeling, traceability, and shelf-life management.
2. HACCP & ISO Compliance:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HACCP plans.
- Maintain ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 45001), ensuring documentation, training, and audits are up to date.
- Prepare and lead third-party certification audits.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments as per ISO standards.
3. Health & Safety:
- Promote a safe working environment by developing and enforcing health and safety policies.
- Conduct routine HSE inspections and risk assessments at all locations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and improvement actions.
- Ensure compliance with local Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) laws.
- Maintain records of staff training, incident logs, and safety meetings.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain thorough documentation of all quality, safety, and compliance procedures.
- Track and report KPIs related to food safety, quality control, and HSE performance.
5. Training & Development:
- Deliver regular training sessions for staff on hygiene, food safety, health and safety, and Standard Operating Procedures SOPs.
- Support onboarding and refresher training on HACCP, ISO, and safety standards.
- Encourage a quality-focused and safety-first culture within the organization.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Professional certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or Food Safety Management Systems preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or health & safety within the food & beverage sector in UAE.
- Hands-on experience with HACCP implementation and ISO audits.
- Familiarity with local and international food safety regulations.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, ISO standards (9001, 22000, 45001).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
