Job Title: Restaurant Host / Hostess

Job Purpose:
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service. Responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring an efficient and welcoming front-of-house experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Manage guest reservations, waiting lists, and walk-ins efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Coordinate table rotation and maintain a smooth seating flow.
- Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries regarding reservations, restaurant hours, and other general information.
- Communicate wait times accurately and provide updates when needed.
- Collaborate with servers and management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and entrance area.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and refer them to a supervisor when needed.
- Follow restaurant policies and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in customer service is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) is a plus.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a bonus).
- Neat, professional appearance and a welcoming demeanor.
