- Verifying the secure attachment of ties, braces, and the proper installation of platforms, guardrails, and toe boards.
- Ensuring the scaffold is properly labeled and that access ladders are safe and secure.
Hazard Identification and Prevention:
- Identifying potential hazards, including unstable foundations, overloading, and proximity to power lines.
- Ensuring that scaffolding is not overloaded and is used according to its intended purpose.
- Verifying that workers are using the scaffold safely and following proper procedures.
- Reporting hazards immediately and taking corrective actions to prevent accidents.
Compliance:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including national and international standards.
