Security Officer – Supermarket
Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our customers, staff, and premises. The ideal candidate will be proactive in preventing theft, managing security situations, and offering assistance as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Safety – Monitor the premises to deter theft, prevent disturbances, and address potential safety hazards.
- Theft Prevention – Identify and discourage shoplifting or suspicious activity; liaise with authorities when necessary.
- Surveillance Monitoring – Operate and observe CCTV systems to detect irregularities and report concerns.
- Control Access – Manage entry and exit points to ensure restricted areas are accessed only by authorized personnel.
- Respond to Incidents – Act promptly during emergencies, provide assistance, and document incidents accurately.
- Routine Patrols – Conduct regular checks of the store, including aisles, stockrooms, and parking areas.
- Customer Support – Assist customers with safety concerns and provide guidance as required.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with store management and staff to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
Requirements & Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of resolving conflicts calmly and effectively.
- Previous security experience is an advantage.
