Job Purpose:
Job holder is responsible to Lead and grow CBD’s Escrow Services portfolio by driving strategic client acquisition, product diversification, and regulatory engagement, while supervising a high-performing team to deliver operational excellence and revenue growth.
Principal Accountability:
Manage and coach the Escrow team and providing performance feedback, development plans, and ensuring accountability.
Act as a second line of leadership support to the Department Head, deputizing in internal and external meetings where required.
Drive team alignment to CBD’s vision and transaction banking strategy, ensuring KPIs are cascaded, measured, and achieved across the unit.
Lead strategic planning for annual escrow portfolio targets, client acquisition roadmap, and regulator alignment.
Proactively source new escrow business opportunities through engagement with developers, real estate brokers, law firms, and government regulators (e.g., DLD, ADM, RERA, RAK RERA, DARI).
Grow the escrow CASA portfolio by cross-selling to new sectors including Owners Associations, Commercial Escrow, and Government-led development initiatives.
Strengthen CBD’s positioning with regulators and government entities by driving innovation, transparency, and thought leadership in escrow management.
Identify market gaps and initiate proposals for new escrow product lines (e.g., Rental Escrow, Utility Escrow, Project Retention Escrow).
Partner with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to co-design new escrow structures aligned with UAE Central Bank and RERA regulations.
Oversee compliance with end-to-end governance (onboarding, disbursement, closure) and continuously enhance internal controls.
Ensure seamless coordination between the front-line team and backend processing units, with a strong focus on turnaround time (TAT), documentation accuracy, and client satisfaction.
Act as an escalation point for operational challenges, regulator queries, or technical platform issues, ensuring timely resolution and internal updates.
Review, sign-off, and submit MIS, regulatory reports, pipeline updates, and audit responses..
Requirements
Education and Experience
BS/BA in Banking, Finance, or related field. MBA is a plus
10–12 years in Banking, minimum 5 years in Escrow/Cash Management
Strong regulatory network across RERA, DLD, ADM, DARI, CBUAE.
Proven record of CASA growth, mandate conversion, and market development.
