We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Shovel Operator / Loader Operator to operate heavy equipment in a [construction/mining/industrial] environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of front-end loaders and/or hydraulic shovels to move, load, and organize materials such as soil, gravel, rock, or waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate loaders and/or shovels to load trucks, stockpile material, or feed crushers or hoppers.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and report defects or required maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures, site rules, and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the equipment and the work area.
- Work closely with ground crew and other machinery operators to coordinate tasks.
- Monitor and control material movement and ensure proper distribution.
- Document load counts and operating data as required.
- Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment.
- Adhere to daily production targets and deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
- Rotational shifts and overtime may be required.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
