DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a diagnostic radiological consultant to physicians. When specifically requested through appropriate channel.
- Interprets all types of general radiological examinations. Interprets and performs those requiring fluoroscopy, special procedures, angiography, ultrasound, radioisotopes, CT, and MRI scanning within the
- Limits of his/her training, experience, and clinical privileges, and with the approval of the Chief of Radiology.
- Participates in physician conferences and rounds.
- As requested may need to travel to all department for discussion of problem cases, clinical rounds or lectures. Will liaise and provide support for the clinics outside of the when requested.
- Works with other physicians on special projects and research programs as suggested or approved by the Chief Radiologist.
- Responsible to work with the technologists and when appropriate to instruct the technologists in specialized views and positioning of patients when unusual or difficult problems arise.
- Participates in the Quality Improvement Program of the Service to meet JCI standards.
- Participates in the teaching of technologists and medical education of physicians and those in training.
- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Chief Radiologist.

QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Medicine with an MBBS degree.
- Post-Graduate Masters degree or equivalent Fellowships approved by DOH.
- Minimum of three years experience in the practice as Radiology post certification.
- Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
- Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
