Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the stewarding team, ensuring all cleaning and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized according to HACCP and company standards.
- Manage the proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, dishwashing detergents, and other stewarding tools.
- Train, guide, and motivate stewarding staff to achieve high performance.
- Coordinate with the culinary and service teams to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Enforce safety and hygiene policies, ensuring compliance with UAE food safety regulations.
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate tasks efficiently.
- Report maintenance issues for kitchen equipment and dishwashing machines.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a stewarding role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices (HACCP preferred).
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus).
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
