Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Inspector - Site to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of construction projects through on-site inspections and evaluations.
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections of structural elements in buildings projects
- Verify compliance with local building codes, regulations, and approved plans
- Identify structural defects, safety hazards, and non-compliant work
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address structural issues
- Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Utilize inspection equipment and tools to assess structural integrity
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary
- Stay updated on local building codes and industry best practices
- Participate in project meetings and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural inspection or related field with 3 years minimum consultancy experience.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations, particularly in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
- Proficiency in structural inspection techniques and methodologies
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Extensive knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment and tools
- Computer skills for report writing and data management
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and practices
- Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to various project locations in Abu Dhabi
