Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Tile Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, laying, and setting tiles in residential, commercial, or landscape projects with precision and attention to detail. You must have a strong knowledge of different tile materials, installation techniques, and surface preparations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and lay tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, mosaic, etc.) on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Prepare work surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing as required.
- Apply adhesives, mortar, or grout, ensuring tiles are properly aligned and spaced.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as tile cutters, grinders, and polishers.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and layout designs accurately.
- Perform repairs or replacements of damaged tiles as needed.
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure clean, hazard-free work areas.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, architects, and other trades to meet project specifications.
- Follow project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum [2-5] years of experience as a Tile Mason or similar role.
- Proficient in tile installation techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
- Good eye for detail, precision, and aesthetics.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction and masonry work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specialized tiling (mosaics, decorative patterns, swimming pools, etc.)
- Familiarity with waterproofing and surface preparation techniques.
- Basic knowledge of construction site operations.
