Position Summary:
The Tower Crane Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tower cranes at the construction site. This role ensures the cranes operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work on tower cranes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns.
- Inspect, test, and ensure proper functioning of all crane electrical systems.
- Maintain and repair electrical wiring, control panels, motors, and switchgear.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Report major faults or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Support crane commissioning and decommissioning activities.
- Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and mechanics to ensure safe operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Electrician in tower crane operations (GCC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of crane electrical systems, PLCs, and control circuits.
- Understanding of load limiters, anti-collision systems, and safety devices.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
