We are Hiring Transport Coordinator for our Plant hire department in Sharjah.
Job Responsibilities:
To coordinate and supervise the deployment, maintenance, and logistics of heavy equipment and machinery within the plant hire department, ensuring optimal utilization, operational readiness, and compliance with safety standards.
Equipment Coordination & Deployment
- Supervise and coordinate the allocation and mobilization of equipment to various project sites.
- Monitor daily equipment usage and ensure timely delivery, pickup, and replacement.
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory and location records.
Maintenance Oversight
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Liaise with workshop supervisors and mechanics to ensure equipment is operational and safe.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and reports.
Staff Supervision
- Manage and assign tasks to equipment operators and support in maintaining attendance .
- Ensure staff adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Assist in training new operators on company standards and equipment operation.
Logistics & Administration
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on equipment status, availability, and performance.
- Coordinate with procurement for parts and equipment needs.
- Assist in budgeting, resource planning, and cost control.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of plant equipment (excavators, cranes, loaders, etc.) and hire operations.
- Familiar with safety and maintenance standards (ISO, OSHA, etc.).
