About the role:

An opportunity has arisen in the Food & Beverage department at Burj Al Arab for a highly motivated and hard working Assistant Sales Manager. The main purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the F&B Sales Department, utilize Events, support for the operation by providing administrational support.

Your duties will include the following:

  • Assist in achieving the annually established segment revenue targets and work with the team members to achieve their targets

  • To maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales, telephone, fax and written communication.

  • Maintain and develop business for Food and Beverage outlets and banquets.

  • Conduct in house show around and entertain potential clients

  • Develop customer accounts and travel within UAE to drive business into the hotel and increase market share in all revenue streams

  • Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads

  • Negotiate and prepare contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing trends.

  • Work within current business strategies and recognize potential opportunities

  • Attend Sales Events as required

  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner

  • Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Director and Senior Management. To include but not limited to reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads.

  • Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings and other sales related meetings as required.

  • Communicate effectively with guests, clients, business partners and colleagues.
