Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting or finance and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post accounting entries accurately and in a timely manner
- Create and maintain payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and general vouchers
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements regularly
- Assist in the preparation of Profit & Loss Accounts and other financial statements
- Handle petty cash and party cash transactions with accountability
- Maintain proper documentation and support for all accounting transactions
- Ensure timely entry of all financial data into the accounting system
- Use accounting software proficiently to manage records and reports
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
