Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, including invoice generation, posting, and follow-up.
- Reconcile freight collections, local charges, and other shipping-related payments.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and coordinate with the commercial team for collections.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly closing reports.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions in line with audit requirements.
- Assist in VAT calculations and submissions as per UAE regulations.
- Liaise with internal departments (operations, customer service, documentation) for financial clarity and accuracy.
- Support annual audits and internal compliance reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and UAE accounting practices.
- Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
