Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) - Infrastructure to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of infrastructure projects, including civil, utilities, electrical, and mechanical engineering components.
- Coordinate and supervise infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction methodologies
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project milestones are met
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to maintain project integrity
- Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation
- Analyze and optimize project performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards
- Coordinate with government authorities and utility companies for necessary approvals and permits
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in infrastructure engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on civil, utilities, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects in the UAE or similar regions
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and regulations in the UAE
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering decisions
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Expertise in sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions
- Familiarity with construction methodologies and techniques relevant to infrastructure projects
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
