Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Accounts will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, supporting audits, preparing financial statements, and assisting the Accounts Manager in managing the company’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements (VAT, Tax, etc.).
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Handle reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and journal entries.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents and schedules.
Supervise and guide junior accountants in their daily tasks.
Coordinate with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required.
Assist in implementing and improving internal controls and accounting systems.
Generate MIS reports for management decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certifications (CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA) preferred.
10 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and financial regulations.
Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
