Assistant Manager-Technology Management Office (TMO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective governance and reporting of technology initiatives across the organization. This position is responsible for supporting the preparation and execution of governance sessions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, and providing strategic insights through comprehensive data analysis.
The incumbent will manage the content and governance of the Tech website, oversee the end-to-end management of the Tech Newsletter, and ensure the quality and consistency of Tech communications. By facilitating communication and collaboration between the TMO and other departments, he/she will contribute to the successful implementation of the Technology strategic plan and drive continuous improvement in governance and reporting processes.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual with strong analytical and communication skills, who is committed to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of governance sessions on a timely basis, including Steerco, MBO, Governance Day, and other technology management sessions.
- Support the establishment of strong governance around management sessions, ensuring adherence to strict timelines, data quality, and project updates.
- Contribute to the creation of the Technology strategic plan and maintain accurate and up-to-date reports.
- Develop and maintain governance documentation, including the status and achievements of Technology projects, as well as the monthly pulse report.
- Act as a liaison between the TMO and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration. Present reports and findings to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of advanced reporting frameworks and dashboards for executive-level decision-making.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the head of TMO based on comprehensive data analysis and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all governance and reporting activities.
- Manage the Technology Management Office data repository and files archival.
- Provide support on an ad-hoc basis to Technology engagement events such as Engineering Day, CIO’s townhalls, and Technology workshops.
- Oversee the management and regular governance of the Tech website, ensuring that content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligns with organizational standards and objectives.
- Lead the end-to-end management of the Tech Newsletter, including content creation, editing, design, distribution, and engagement tracking to ensure it effectively communicates key updates and initiatives.
- Prepare and provide detailed monthly project update reports, highlighting progress, milestones, challenges, and recommendations for improvement to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Manage all aspects of Tech communications, including conducting quality checks, overseeing design elements, and ensuring adherence to Mashreq Standards to maintain consistency and professionalism in all communications.
- At least 5-7 years of relevant working experience in technology project/program management, preferably within a banking or financial services environment
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus
