DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES About the role
Our company is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Controller to assist our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational finance, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and timely. The Assistant Management Accountant will also be responsible for preparing various reports and analysis at the request of management.
As an Assistant Operation Controller, you will:
- Responsible for Accounts payable and vendor payments.
- Manage Vendor relationships and handle escalations, disputes, and reconciliations.
- Monitor AP aging, prepare payment runs, and manage cash outflows.
- Help month-end and year-end AP closing activities and reporting
- Please note that the candidate may be required to make themselves available off regular working hours if necessary due to serving multiple countries/Time zones.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE About you
The ideal Assistant Operation Controller will have:
- Must have at least 2 -3 years of relevant work experience in the UAE.
- Good knowledge of P2P (Procure to pay) process.
- Experience in Supplier and Vendor reconciliations.
- Experience in 3-way matching of Invoices Vs Receipts.
- Fluent in English both verbally and written (Mandatory), Arabic will be a big plus.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, and or partially qualified CA, ACCA.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software or ERP, e.g., SAP S4 Hana, SAGE, QuickBooks, or any other ERPs.
