Job Objective:
Responsible to plan, implement and monitor the compliance program and prevent money laundering in order to improve overall performance of the company. The officer must also encourage business conduct by and for the company based on responsibility and ethical behavior.
Job’s Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Sanction Compliance officer is a specialized member in the Compliance Team and is primarily responsible to assist the Compliance Officer (CO), and the Alternative Compliance Officer (ACO), in their duties; more importantly, the role is defined as:
- Receive and evaluate all the Corporate Customer Registrations, Retail, Bank Notes, or WPS, assessing the adequacy of the documentation received and executing the initial risk assessment and ML/FT Risk Rating.
- Propose to the CO, or ACO for the approval or rejection of any corporate customer based on the evidence provided to them.
- Corporates Customers KYC review (Retail and Bank Notes) includes other high risk customer profile reviews.
- Execute the primary & secondary investigation and EDD for all alerts produced by the AML Systems, related to customers and their transactions, and assigned to them; Ad-hoc manual screening (Wherever required).
- Execute the primary investigation of any alerts produced by the AML System for screening and Transaction monitoring in full support.
- Execute all primary investigations of enquiries, requests, or information gathering received from the CBUAE, the FIU, the Police, the Judicial Departments of the UAE government, or any other Competent Authority.
- Handling correspondent inquiries and responding to the queries without any delay.
- Provide the details of such investigations to the CO or ACO for final assessment and forwarding the responses to the Competent Authority.
- Execute all primary investigations received through the IEMS system and provide all the information; the ACO or CO will approve the provision of the information when required.
- Reporting of iSTR or STRs to the CO/ACO - Filing of STR or iSTR/STRs/SAR ISTRs received / STRs filed to FIU, PNMR / FFR filed with FIU, RFI from GOAML.
- Customer Registration daily report and data Quality checks.
- Report directly to the ACO or Compliance officer (CO).
- The role holder may be assigned to with other compliance tasks related to AML Compliance functions.
Job Specification,
Education.
- Undergraduate degree
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
Experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in compliance, ideally within the money exchange house industry.
Technical Competences.
- Knowledge of AML Laws and Regulation / FATF Recommendations of Central Bank of UAE.
- Strong Analytical skill to understand the complexities of procedures and regulation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
- Ability to work independently and to liaise with other departments.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
